The Origami Love Note
Here’s what I was up to 19 years ago today . . .
. . . I was busy marrying the love of my life, the handsome man who has made me happy from the moment I spotted him on the commuter train to Manhattan over 22 years ago (though it took two months of riding the same train to finally meet).
When May rolls around, John frets about gifts for me since we have Mother’s Day, our anniversary and my birthday all in the same
month. When he asked me what I’d like, I truly
couldn’t think of a single thing.

I have everything I could ever want or need; a lovely home, two wonderful kids, a fulfilling career and a husband who I love a little more every day. This creative, romantic man presented me with the sweetest present ever . . . an origami love note that he folded himself with a beautifully written letter inside. What more could I ask for?
When John and I first met, I had to pinch myself to make sure I wasn’t
dreaming. And I still feel that way today. I’m so grateful that we both
decided to take the 5:17 train out of Grand Central Terminal on that cold December evening back in 1984.

This is so sweet I could just pass out! Congratulations :-)

Congratulations and thank you for sharing your story. In a world were divorce is happening all the time (or so it seems) it is lovely to hear about people who are married long term. Clarice
