After much anticipation, last Friday I finally had the pleasure of meeting Rebecca of Thrifty Goodness. She stopped in for T-Party's Grand Afternoon Tea with her mom and aunt before heading up to Mystic, Connecticut for a weekend away.
Rebecca has been planning this little getaway for several weeks and had asked me for suggestions of places to visit. Their plans included stopping at an antique center, shopping at an outlet mall, checking out Mohegan Sun and exploring the Mystic Seaport. Then on Sunday, they would swing by the Elephant's Trunk Flea Market on their way back down to Queens, New York. It sounded like so much fun that I wanted to come along, too!
Rebecca's Thrifty Goodness blog chronicles her adventures with thrifting and crafting. She is a talented crafter and makes lovely baby blankets, crochet ducks, crochet cupcakes, rag rugs, hair accessories, paper crowns and pretty tags. Some of her items are for sale at her Etsy shop called The Goodness Shop. Rebecca is also one of the "Goodness Girls" responsible for hosting those fabulous Sweet Goodness Swaps.
And---she was kind enough to bring me the cutest gift ever. Here we are as I unwrap . . .
. . . one of her handmade tea cup pot holders. I just love it! (She really takes sweetness to a new level.) Thank you Rebecca!
What a treat it was for me to personally meet another of my favorite bloggers. I really do wish you could all stop by for tea and I could meet each and every one of you!
