It was a nice touch to see a picture of your friend and her new bike. Love the basket too.

Truly sweet! Things are always better when you know the back story.

OMG Susan that is just like the one I use to have. I was about 10yr. old when I got mine, but it was a used one. It belonged to my sister's girlfriend who didn't ride it anymore. MY mom bought it for $5.00. If only I lived closer I would buy it in a heartbeat. I kept mine for about 40yr. and then sold it. I could kick my you know what. :( That is awesome Barbara kept it so long. It looks like it is in great shape.

A sweet ride indeed! I remember getting my first "big kid" bike -- a green Schwinn which looked a lot like Barbara's! It's sweet with the basket added!
