The teapots at T-Party are snug and warm this month thanks to one of the classes Joan Barere taught in our Knit Nook.
The project was to knit a "Teapot Vest" with a cable lace pattern. Joan fashioned the vest to fit our personal-sized Bee House teapots.
Being a challenge class, these knitters are more experienced. So after a morning of knitting, their tea vests were well underway.
Joan also altered the pattern to make a custom vest to fit a friend's larger teapot. And she is happy to do additional custom vests for anyone who has a teapot that needs a little cozying up.
More cozy news . . . I recently received a request for the tea cozies I sew from a lovely lady named Jill from St. Paul, Minnesota. She wanted to purchase several as gifts for her friends. I was more than happy to oblige.
Once Jill received the cozies, she sent us the nicest email. Here's what she had to say, below . . .
Thank you Susan! The tea cozies arrived today and I love them! I am trying not to open them all, you had each one so nicely wrapped, but I can't help it. I worked late today and was tired, but when I opened the porch door and saw your package I was suddenly re-energized! I ran to the kitchen, got the scissors and cut the packing tape -- wow. I am getting ready to make a pot of tea. Thank you so much. I love them all and I am sure my friends will too. I may give early holiday gifts this year so they can start using them. I appreciate your incredibly fast, incredibly personal service. To think that my email was answered in such a short time by a real person on a Saturday morning who pulled tea cozies I liked from the store shelves and made more by hand to fill my order is just unheard of these days. And your co-owner who actually answered the phone on a Saturday morning while baking pastries for an in store tea party and took my message for you! Amazing. Thank you both. I will visit your site again and recommend it to my friends.
Wow, what a wonderful thank you! I so appreciate hearing from a happy customer!
Susan
The knitted "vests" are so very cute. And, I have loved those tea cozies you make from the first time I saw them. I love your choice of fabric! It is so great to get good feedback from customers :-)

Love the knitted tea cozies! Is there a pattern for sale? I also really like the the ones you made. I've made cozies from vintage tea towels.

I love the knitted tea cozy. How neat is that? Wish I could find a shop here that offered that class.
