We just returned from a long weekend away visiting extended family in my hometown of Cleveland. While there, I popped into a thrift shop where a vintage planter caught my eye. A bargain at $4, it safely made the trip back from Ohio inside my carry-on bag.
This morning, I potted up my newest find with miniature Daffodils. Then I introduced it to a couple of pottery friends on my kitchen counter.
This 1940s relic sports a script letter "S" on its front and whimsical rolls on both sides. Bathed in a chartreuse glaze, its color reminds me of the little leaf buds that will soon emerge this spring. So retro!

I have that exact same planter, Susan! I love mine too. The green is what caught my eye! It's my fav color. I'm pretending the letter is an L for my last name. Ha!
Happy Spring.

Kristy~ Thank you for your comment. Wasn't sure... It very well might be an L! Happy spring to you, too. :)

All of those are lovely. I find the colors and quality so much nicer than anything they make today.
